Hey everyone! Chapter 185 of the Air Gear manga has been scanlated by us, Sora Scans. It is already online in the forums for direct download, and can also be torrented (link below). It will soon be available in our mIRC channel too, for you mIRC users. Hope you like this chapter.

Some others news... we have recently hired two new staff members. Leave and Thalarian. Leave is our new Information Database Manager. He will be responsible for updating all the information for Air Gear and Black Lagoon. If you click on the "Projects" link up top, you will see that we have already put in some information. This will be updated weekly.
The other new staff member is Thalarian, Graphic Art Expert. Thalarian recently got seriously hurt in an ATV accident. He is doing more-or-less alright with some complications and will hopefully be released soon from the hospital. I hope that you guys would wish him well. After he gets better, he will continue working on a new secret project for us that you guys will really like.
Next, I have made a new wallpaper for you guys, hope you like it (link below).

Hello! Another exploit was discovered in vBulletin regarding the WYSIWYG editor in Firefox. A patch was provided and I immediately installed it. As for the forums, I'm going to make some edits to the skins to make them look a bit more aesthetic.
Also, we been getting a lot of spam comments in the news posts. They all originate from Russia. I'm sad to say that since they're my kin, but I was thinking of blocking the whole country. I'm tired of deleting dozens of spam comments every week.

Hey, guys! I'm finally back from work. Right now, I'm outside catching my neighbor's wifi in this very, very cold weather so I'll be quick. Chapter 183 and 184 were released this afternoon. Along with those chapters, we also released the scanlated volume 18 tank. We only scanlated pages that contained text and were not included in our previous releases. That means, there might be pages in the volume 18 tank raw that were not inlcuded in the scanlated version. Thus we recommend you downloading the volume 18 tank raw and looking at everything.

By the way, the MediaFire links did not work anymore so I decided to edit them out. You can find our releases in the usual place.

The first chapter of volume 1 for Black Lagoon. Since it is such a large chapter(70 odd pages) it will be on rapidshare/megaupload until the hype of downloading it dies down. This is to prevent our servers from being, for lack of a better term, killed.

Today a flaw in the vBulletin forum system was discovered that enabled hackers to use XSS exploits. This issue has been patched with-in hours. The forum is up to date now and impenetrable to hackers.

Hey all, while you all are waiting for chapter 180, I have some bad news. The current Air Gear RAW scanner (Reiu) decided to quit for an unknown period of time meaning there won't be any scanlations for a while until someone else picks it up. You can read the full story at MangaHelpers, click here! Sora Scans would like to thank Reiu for all the work up until now. Anyways, let's hope another scanner comes along.

Sorry I haven't updated you guys on the situation, but the outcome of all that voting came to an end and that was BLACK LAGOON FTW. So for all you AG fans that like action or Black Lagoon fans that are sad no one is scanlating it, fear not, in our spare time (aka when no AG chapters are out to clean or translate) we will be working on Black Lagoon, so stay tuned :)

Sora Scans would like to start translating a new series! What will it be? Who knows, we're leaving that for the users to decide! :) However, we do have a typesetter/cleaners ready but will be needing at least ONE translator to help with this series!
Want to cast a vote for something you like but has little to no scanlators and is far behind the raws? **Thread** just keep in mind, no hentai/anything too ecchi.
So far: Perfect Girl Evolution has 3 votes and Hitman Reborn has 2, want to vote for one of those or another series? Go to the thread and post! Also, if you are a translator that wants to be a part of the SS community, let us know :) Thanks!
